I always hated escalators and elevators for going up a floor or two, I guess it because of my trauma from elevators failing on me and being stuck in them quite a few times in my appartment complex but i guess it was a healthy thing to do since climbing stairs can help you alleviate heart disease risks by a huge difference https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/climbing-over-50-steps-of-stairs-a-day-may-help-reduce-heart-disease-risk

I hate stairs, but you are right. I guess it's because I've always hated Leg day at the gym and stairs as a mix, it makes you feel like your soul is existing in your body because of the pain and especially after a day of the work-out.
I actually do help a lot and I too live in an apartment complex and I prefer using the stair when my hands are free. The stairs do give you a hard time, but are definitely good for your physical health. But I tell you it's no joke when you are doing like 8–10 floors worth of stairs.
