Family of Man Who Died After GPS Directed Him Off Bridge Sues Google (people.com)
Thoughts on this? It makes me think of other topics related to road repairs for publicly used, privately maintained roads. The person who died was new to the area and unfamiliar with the history of the collapsed bridge, which was washed out in a flood in 2013, Although no tragedies had occured in the seven years between the bridge collapse and his death, it took this tragedy to prompt the installation of barriers around the bridge.
Related topics would cover the flooding itself, and preventative measures that could reduce infrastructure damage in similar areas, such as culverts, or routine maintaince and safety checks.
