I've seen firsthand how empathy can transform a team. When a leader is empathetic, it creates a more positive and productive work environment. People feel valued, respected, and heard, which leads to better communication, collaboration, and overall success. One should always try to be an empath.
I think empathy is the trait that lets human beings live together. And living together is something we need on a deep developmental level. It's the same way with parrots that live in the rainforests, where 500 will cluster on a single tree, several bunched in next to each other on each branch, vocalizing with language development centers in their brains very similar to human ones. Communication may have arisen because we can help each other stay warm, help each other find food, and warn each other from predators, but by now it's as much a part of our development as our arms and legs. What Parrots Can Teach Us About Kindness and Tolerance | Psychology Today
